Most timeshare resorts offer potential buyers specially priced vacations called inspection trips or mini-vacations in order to familiarize you with the resort you have an interest in purchasing at. Specially priced inspection trips are usually for 4 Days and 3 Nights or 3 Days and 2 Nights. A presentation with a resort sales representative is required if you want to receive the discounted vacation.

The advantage of an inspection trip is that it gives you an opportunity to see the resort in person. While there, a resort representative will give you a tour of the resort, show you the villas and answer any of your questions prior to becoming a vacation owner.

Although you are never under any obligation to purchase timeshare, the purpose of an inspection trip is to allow prospective buyers the opportunity to inspect the resort(s) they are most interested in before making a purchase decision. It is a program timeshare resorts make available for potential buyers. Inspection trips are not designed for people who are looking for a cheap vacation.

We highly encourage you NOT TO purchase an inspection trip unless you have contacted the resort in advance, discussed their Timeshare program and have some level of interest in potentially becoming a timeshare owner prior to booking the trip. There are many ways to find an inexpensive timeshare if that's what you're looking for. An inspection trip should not be one of those ways.
